The U.S. Department of Education is investigating a faculty member's complaint that a series of pro-Palestinian events at the University of California, Santa Cruz have crossed the line into anti-Semitism and created a hostile environment for Jewish students.

I hope these students with "strong Jewish identities" begin to understand that 99% of the Jew-hating among non-Muslims comes from the political Left. ....and UCSC is about as Leftist an institution as can be imagined.
You are absolutely correct. And here, even in Jewish neighborhoods, the MSA is out in full force harassing students (Queens College and Queensboro community colelge campuses included). When I was in the deep south they were there and there ant-Semitic literature was disgusting.
Actually the former Mayor of Santa Cruz, Scott Kennedy, is a major anti-Israel pro-Palestinian activist.
The Left in Santa Cruz are simply against anything Western. They want to exterminate all of us.

Free speech is free speech. No one was incited to cause harm. Having guest speakers creates a hostile environment? Really? That is not a standard befitting an institution of higher learning. What's the complaining lecturer's real agenda or motivation?
It's incredible what they get away with. If Christian or Jewish student groups handed out literature criticizing Muslims in even the mildest way they'd be banned from campus in a heartbeat. But Mohammedans are the current untouchables in academia.
The Iranian students (yes, they were there even after the overthrow of the Shah) had the nerve to put up a poster, “Israel must not be”. I wrote a letter to the Board of Trustees of the college and the poster was removed. Can you imagine - a sign calling for GENOCIDE!!!!! Yup, that is the Religion of Peace on the college campus and our tax dollars fund this nonsense! It must stop. And I have heard similar stories about NYC colleges where there is a large Jewish population. People, wake up!
