For me, the constitutional question is separate from what I’m talkingabout here. When has a president ever launched a war from vacation, without telling the American people what we’re doing and why?

His answers have been all over the map. We’re only NOW even figuring out who it is we are defending—in part, at least, it’s Al Qaeda types.

What’s next—will Obama launch Tomahawks against our own forces in Afghanistan?

Thanks to modern technology the president is never “on vacation”

the US Constitution gives obama an incredible amount of power and authority. On war, no president from Nixon to obama, from republican to democrat, has been willing to give up his power through the War Powers Act.

And in normal circumstances where we are ruled by a competent potus, this is a good thing.

the framers did institute checks and balances
but who can protect a people whose lack of virtue leads them to elect as potus person as flawed as obama (can’t even begin to catalog or diagnose from arm chairs)

“...will Obama launch Tomahawks against our own forces in Afghanistan?”

Why use a Tomahawk when you can send a bunch of lawyers who will REALLY screw the troops?

(Boy, do I wish I was being sarcastic.....)

That's really the heart of it. The president is the Commander-in-Chief and he can use the military as he sees fit. The Constitution says so. What we have now, is a president who might possibly decide to nuke England because he doesn't like the queen. He could do it, and it would be within his Constitutional powers.

This has always been true, but we've never had to worry about it, because we've never had to really worry about who is in the White House. Now we do. We don't know who this guy is, but we gave him all the power in the world.

And he is using that power to support our enemies.

Don’t put it past this treasonous sob poser. The faster he can destroy this country, the happier he’ll be. And he has to do it quickly because some of his koolaid drinkers just might awaken from their stupor.
