PHOENIX — A federal judge in Phoenix is set to formally take a seat on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
A ceremony is set for Judge Mary Murguia on Friday at the federal courthouse in Phoenix. Among those attending will be U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

I believe Kyl said he ‘trusted’ the judge who made the call on SB 1070, even though she had been appointed by Clinton. Kyl is brilliant but must be a bad judge of character.

born in Kansas City in 1960 How nice. I was living in Tucson then.
Was a nice place then too. No Spanish, pretty American town, Hughes Aircraft was the big employer building air-to-air missiles.
The Murguia family had nothing to do with the city. Or the State.
Or the country, for that matter.
