KABUL, Afghanistan -Anger over the burning of the Muslim holy book at a Florida church fueled a second day of deadly violence half a world away in Afghanistan, where demonstrators set cars and shops ablaze Saturday in a riot that killed nine protesters, officials said.
The church's desecration of the Quran nearly two weeks ago has outraged millions of Muslims and others worldwide, fueling anti-American sentiment that is further straining ties between the Afghan government and the West.
The uproar even brought violence to the normally peaceful city of Mazar-i-Sharif in northern Afghanistan on Friday, where a crowd of protesters — apparently infiltrated by insurgents — stormed a U.N. compound in an outpouring that left four Afghan protesters and seven foreign U.N. employees dead.

This pastor is a strange guy.
That said, riots half a world away from a bunch of nuts that are killing each other because some guy here with a church the size of a Burger King (if that) says he burned a book - it’s NOT the pastors fault.
The religion is a nutty religion that brings death and insanity wherever it becomes prevalent. And it’s time people started putting blame where it belongs.

Time to end the war there. Keep just enough troops and equipment close by, to allow the Jihadis to be blown to bits when they get too organized.
I say pull all the troops out of Afghanistan, cut off all aid and let these insane nitwits kill themselves. Do it with the next warning that any terrorists out of their backward ass hat Country will have to clean up the glass.

Just have seen book burning and that is simply trying to supress thoughts and that is ignorant.
I may not like the Koran or porn or lots of other things.
Doesn;t mean I care for you are someone else or some damn gub mint telling me what I can read or think.
But hey, if you are in to that kind of stuff?
We have NO business having our troops there, they should be along OUR OWN BORDERS.
