“Thank you. I have the best job in the world. It’s all because of you and people like you. You are the best and brightest and it is my pleasure to take your call. What’s on your mind?”
“Well, I –“
“It’s all yours. I’m eager to hear to from you.”
“Uhhhhh. Thanks. Uuhhhhh. I wanted to –“
“Go ahead.”
“Well, I was in the Air Force for 13 years and –“
“Thank you.”
“Oh, well, I –“
“Thank you. Thank you for your service. It’s people like you who make me proud to be an American. You are the best and brightest. Go ahead.”
“Thanks Jay. I –“
“No, Thank you. I mean it. What’s on your mind?”
“Well, I just wanted to say that I saw Michael Moore on TV and –“
“I’m sorry.”
“What?”
“I’m sorry.
“Uuuhhh –“
“I’m sorry you had to see such an unpleasant person in your own living room. Not the sort of person you’d invite over for a pleasant evening, eh?”
“Uuuuhhhh, No, I guess I –“
“Nor I, my friend. Nor I. What’s on your mind?”
“Well, he mentioned taxing rich people, and –“
“Ken, that is an excellent topic! I will be addressing that topic in just a minute! But they’re waving at me, and I’ve got to go to a commercial! Thanks so much for the call!”
LOL, I haven’t listened to Jay since he came back from his last suspension.
Excellent technique.
I thought that was a Hannity impression until I got to the end without the host making it about himself. Sean really should change his theme music to Toby Keith’s “I wanna talk about me”.
