A bill is moving forward in the California Legislature that would require all public schools – and all textbooks – to actively portray homosexuality and transgenderism / cross-dressing in a positive light. It would also require all of the state's history textbooks to include figures and events in gay history in a positive light.

Might as well pump sewage directly into the classrooms to provide the ambiance enviroment to complement the regressive leftist cirriculum.

Get your kids the hell out of public screw-els before it’s too late. Home school if necessary, but get them the hell out!

Too bad that the overpaid teachers don’t walk out in protest, but then they’re too highly paid for 8 months of work . . .

“8 months of work”?

Where do you live that kids start back to school in October?

If this bill passes, you can expect to see some rather large repercussions in the California school systems. Parents are going to begin pulling their kids out by the thousands, and either putting them in private schools, home schooling, or moving out of state altogether.

This will be the last straw for many families.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

What I meant with the “8 months” was the three months off in the summer, then add the gaggle of legal holidays (and they don’t miss a one), so-called teacher conferences, then add the what-used-to-be-called Christmas weeks off (2 weeks), and then add the what-used-to-be-called Easter week, and you have, at the very least, OVER 1 more month of days off.

Put them all together and don’t even count the mandatory weekends off, and you’ve got a very comfy work schedule with union protection and thousands of pages of steps to go thru if they try to fire you.

Not bad.

Actually,I think he guessed too high. The school year is 180 days. There are 360 days in the year.At least 9 weeks off in summer,Christmas break,(oops! I mean "Winter" break!),February vacation,April vacation. There's 12 weeks off right there! Add in long weekends and early release days every-other week, too.

I guess the left is spinning so hard, they caused the planet to speed up. Lopped a whole five days off the calendar. Wow.

Bingo

If I am correct with the avg LA teacher being paid 62,000 , they make 7,750 a month.

I thought about that. This won't go down well with Mexican immigrant parents (illegal and otherwise). Expect a serious backlash from them.

Well, your math is off. $62,000 divided by 12 months equals $5,166 per month.

Still, that's more than what most people in the private sector make. Hell, I'm my own boss, and I don't make that.

But they only work 8 months of a year.

Don’t count on it. Most parents don’t care about their children enough to protect them if it involves any material sacrifice and responsibility. Just watch...only a handful will leave the schools (a percentage in the single digits).
