Fact 1: The academic literature shows that successful cases of fiscal adjustment relied overwhelmingly on spending cuts, not tax increases.....
Myth 2: We cant balance the budget without raising taxes.
Fact 2: We can balance the budget simply by holding spending constant.....
Myth 3: Paul Ryans plan will dramatically cut spending.
Fact 3: Ryans plan reduces spending between FY2011 and FY2012. After that it reduces the growth of spending. But overall spending grows by $1.1 trillion over 10 years under Ryans plan.....

All things considered, Ryans proposal is a definite improvement over the Deficit Commissions plan to increase spending by $1.6 trillion over 10 years and its also a big improvement over the presidents budget which increases spending by $1.9 trillion over the same period.
Every dollar spent on PP saves 100 bucks in the long run. Eliminate EPA and increase funding to PP. If we spent as much on PP as EPA we would have 20% less Rats. They are like the Orkin Man.
Basic human behavior.
Fight or Flight.
Common sense tells you that if this government tries to raise taxes, the revenue goes down a black hole. There is a never ending list on what ‘progressives’ could spend your money on. (it’s always someone else’s money).
That’s what made the Clinton/Gingrich deal appealing. They raised taxes, but they also cut spending. It was a promising proposition that ‘The era of big government was over.’
But I don’t think it would work again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Thus the ‘risk takers’ have gone ‘Galt’.
This has to play out.

Hundreds of departments should be eliminated and all the people that work for them fired!
