Romney tells donors he's unsure on entitlements fight (who still wants this joker?)

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney surprised donors this morning at the Harvard Club in New York with an ambivalent answer to the question of whether America is ready to seriously alter its large entitlement programs.

Romney, speaking to more than 100 donors and supporters at the private breakfast, responded to a question from his supporters on the issue.

"I don't know," he replied, according to a source in the room, before going on to warn that Social Security and Medicare are -- in the source's paraphrase -- "basically the third rails in politics and he doesn’t know if we’re going to be able to actually make a dent in reforming them."

"It was really soft rhetoric, definitely not the kind of tough talk that’s going to be necessary in a Republican primary," the source said.

I’m supposed to go to a lunch with one of his family members in my community next week: billed as a “recruiting event”. I asked how they got my name and they didn’t know.
HELP!! Should I go for the free lunch or skip it because I will never support the RINO?
I wish it was from Trump instead. :-)

Romney will be a 50 state loser.

You cannot defeat Obama by agreeing with him on socialized medicine and entitlements.

If the GOP and GOP Media still continue to push Romney....real conservatives need to go elsewhere

Listen very closely to what Romney says as well as what he does NOT say.

He is critical of Obama on issues of experience and competence, but he not on substantive issues of policy. When have we ever heard Romney complain that the government is spending too much and that spending should be cut? Never.

On the stimulus bill, he never once criticized the concept that having the government borrow and spend lots of money is a sound economic strategy. His only criticism was in the way the money was being spent.

Romney is not a fiscal conservative in any way.

Good luck getting out of there with your wallet and checkbook if you do go...and as far as Trump goes, he already talking about going independent if he doesn't win the GOP nomination. That's strange, since he was a Hillary backer a few years ago, and she's a Democrat.

Milt Romney (Democrat poser as RINO):

"I also think it's important for us to nod to the president when he's right," Romney said....
Romney, who spoke at a dinner for the National Republican Senatorial Committee,
said he's pleased with the president's plans to "finish the job" in Iraq and Afghanistan
-- lines that drew applause from the partisan audience. He also applauded the president
for standing up to the auto industry.
"I hope he continues to be tough ....The former businessman even offered faint praise for
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, saying that after a series of initial missteps,
"I think he's finally getting close to the right answer."
