Yes, it’s a sad story, but there have been many others that have done the same......

IMHO, a constant ringing in your ears can drive you to Depression. At some point, a person loses all hope for life. It is truly sad.

I know how depressed I was 20 years ago after seeing an ENT, a dentist and my physician - having tests done on everything to find out what I had and how to “fix” it - and the bottom line was, that I would have to learn to live with it.

I cried and felt I could not live like this.

But I have and it is something I can “tune out” for the most part.

Many people have much worse “crosses to bear.”

I feel for the wife of this man and for his grandson on whose birthday he killed himself. But I must assume that this man had other issues that, combined with the tinnitus, let him take his life and not wait for the morrow.

We must remember that things do change, maybe in a day, maybe longer but they do change.

Please add me to your list, I've suffered this for decades. Shame about the suicide. My wife has us all beat though, google “suicide disease”, to read of the most obscure, terrible malady I’ve ever heard of.
