It's tough to be the only one on the field--too easy to be surrounded. Trump, whether he intends this or not, by being out there with his own brand of aggressive attack, draws off the enemy and has Sarah's back in the fight. Two instead of one can hold off the world.
Trump does a real service to the party and the country, whatever his ultimate motives are-- which nobody here knows anyway.
Good point, HB...I had not given that more creedence...

You are absolutely correct. People need to learn some military strategy and tactics. This is a war for our very survival; not politics as usual.

I have gotten to the point where I don't know what ANY POLITICAN'S motives are.
I guess I relate to Donald Trump simply because he is not a politician; he has worked for his money; he doesn't apologize for who he is, what he's done and where he's going; he pays taxes; pays for his own health insurance, drive, meals, vacations and ex-wives and supports his children. And he an American.
I was a liberal once but am now a conservative. I would hate for anyone to question whether I had “really” change.
DONALD TRUMP:Real players (and I don't subscribe to the view that Trump is simply a clownish buffoon who's doing this for ratings and an ego boost) recognize one another. Trump recognizes how formidable she could be. I truly hope that Sarah can break out of the image the media fashioned for her and show her true colors.
Correct. I am a Republican. I would run as a Republican, yes.
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS:
So-- when you look at the field now, we've got Sarah Palin Sunday in the New York Times.
DONALD TRUMP:
Very interesting. Very interesting.
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS:
That she's really thinking hard about it.
DONALD TRUMP:
Hey. Same producer, Mark Burnett produced her show, produces The Apprentice, which has become a very, very major hit as you know, and we've had a lot of fun. But Sarah Palin, hey, she's very interesting. And don't underestimate her. I mean, I see what she does. Do not underestimate Sarah Palin. [My emphasis]
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS:
Would you take her on if she gets in--
DONALD TRUMP:
Well, if I ran, I'd have no choice. I would take her on. I like her, but I'd take her on.
I agree Buzz, Trump has guts and his pricking on Obama will definitely help SP and tarnish all the squishes on the right and left. I’m even sick & tired of the O’Reilly, Mark Levin, and even Rush for being such cowards...the GOP all are doomed. I think there is a chance we will have a successful new party elect a POTUS in 2012. Get ready for the fight of your life.
Well put!
...............buzz!............you make several GREAT points!
I, for one, appreciate you joining those of us on FR that try to steadfastly respond and rebutt the liberals trolling on FR with their transparent hatred of all things Sarah!
You would think that some day one of these trolls would establish for themselves an ounce of credibility by just acknowledging Sarah’s courage for climbing into the arena each day and the fact that she is the one, not them sitting at home on their keyboard, that is walking out on that stage, largely un-protected so far, with Giffords in her mind. Were I Todd and Chuck, and mom and daughters and sons, my heart would stop every time she walked out there!
It seems Trump has given Palin the courage to speak about Obamas lack of credentials. She wouldn't do it before Trump put it on the National stage.
