U.S. Congressman Dan Boren issued the following statement regarding President Obama’s letter today requesting Congressional leaders eliminate tax provisions that are absolutely critical for domestic oil and gas production for thousands of independent producers across the nation.
“President Obama is completely uninformed about the oil and gas industry. The industry is not made up of just major companies. It is made up of small independent firms like those in Oklahoma that produce a vast majority of our domestic production. For every CEO of a major company, there are literally thousands of blue collar jobs that are affected by his administration's energy policy. It is a policy that is very inadequate and has left so many on the gulf coast unemployed. Americans are tired of empty rhetoric on both sides and want a real plan. If the President doesn't want to stand up and be a leader, then his silence would be appreciated from people who are trying to find solutions.”
I don’t think Obama would be welcome in Boren’s district. I live here in Enid and there are a lot of okies that are proud that every single county in the state went to McCain.
Obammie is just following the liberal theory that punishing the oil industry, will somehow make them feel bad, and they can then decide to lower oil prices.
I wish anyone will call out baraq and his whole team.
They are unimformed about any industry.
Think we’ll see more of this as his numbers continue to fall.
The word is out that the BC he released is a “fake” even if it isn’t....The court of public opinion is more deadly than any legal justice. Can’t wait to see the GLOBE article.

And then there is the case before the 9th Circus on May 2, ....few days later people will be receiving and reading the Corsi book....by June 1 Wagging his finger again won’t make him look any stronger.

Better to kill an industry of independents than it is to touch the sacred Planned Parenthood dollars.
After all, exams that can be given at any medical clinic anyplace in America are far more important than jobs in the industry that fuels America itself.
Planned Parenthood is crucial to national survival and economic well-being.
Oil jobs, on the other hand, are purely frivolous spending.

This is David Boren’s son, not the father who was a US Senator.
What he said is absolutely right; but this is one of Obamas little tricks. Make the people think they have a friend on the opposite side; then he will pretend to lower the boom and they guy is out there apologizing for his remarks.
It’ designed to wear the people down by raising their spirits; then dumping them onto the ground. The government wants you to slowly become putty in their hands so you will only think they can do anything for you. Don’t fall for it.
Just remember, these guys are cheats, liars and thieves and they can’t win anything unless are doing all 3 or one of the 3.
That would make a great tagline if it would all fit in the tagline box.
It takes thorough, and complete understanding of something, anything to destroy it effectively. “Uninformed” my ass! He knows exactly what he is doing. If not, his handlers, the puppeteers pulling his strings know precisely what they are doing.
Question: IS Obama destroying our country effectively?

The bigger question here is 'Why did it take Boren this long to figure out what the rest of us here knew back in 2008'?

The Republicans could have redistricted Boren out of his house seat... but they didn’t. Boren has too much power with his connect to OU, the Daily Oklahoman, & his father the former Governor/Senator.
