Politics and Hollywood collide again at tonight's annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. The event has evolved into a star-studded affair as celebrities descend upon Washington, joining journalists and President Obama.
This year's comedian headliner, Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers, is charged with the task of poking fun at the President and Washington politics.
Each year, the President uses the occasion to show a more humorous side as well, making fun of himself and the people who cover him.
The purpose of the annual dinner is “to raise money for WHCA scholarships and honor the professional recipients of the WHCA's journalism awards," according to the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) website.

I agree getting into Obama’s face does not make you a conservative- but I would take ANYONE over Obamnbi now, and Trump is the ONLY one with the balls to confront him
That being said, I think it will be Palin/Bachman 2012 and they will kick O’s butt all over the place, and Trump will be gracious and an active supoort

When you watch old Bob Hope monologues, and the Dean Martin roasts, you see real humor.

Well if it would have been one or two jokes and not so mean-spirited maybe Trump would have laughed. But this was the White House Correspondents Dinner not a Donald Trump roast.
It's also telling that Obama can't make jokes about himself. This compounds the fact that he just isn't a very funny person. Bush, OTOH, was a riot and almost all of his jokes were either about himself, or his administration. Obama used the night as a platform to launch political weapons at his enemies. Again, probably not surprisingly.

I tuned in only to see this Meyers twerp. The jokes about the networks were okay, but the personal attacks...yes, personal...on Trump were absolutely vicious. I wonder if the flammable tie joke could open Seth Meyers up to a lawsuit? He actually slandered a product (and Macy’s).
