Palin Skips WHCD For Anti-Abortion Fundraiser
US Election News ^ | 5/1/11 | Brandon Miller

Former Alaska Governor and recently reinvigorated potential Presidential candidate Sarah Palin appeared Saturday evening not at the “nerd prom” known as the White House Correspondence dinner, but instead “chose life” and keynoted a fundraiser in Bethesda, Maryland for Heroic Media, a anti-abortion advertising group.

According to reports from Politico, whose personnel attended the closed event, Palin, a long time enemy of the main stream media, boasted that although she had the opportunity to attend the dinner, she was not tempted by the “influence out there”, referring to the often liberal circles that attend the event. Palin may have also chosen to stay away as many members of the satirical comedy show Saturday Night Live were in attendance at the dinner, comedian Seth Meyers hosting the event, and to this day her portrayal by lead writer Tina Fey during the 2008 Presidential campaign continues to make the news. Her daughter Bristol, a staunch abstinence advocate and now of Dancing With the Stars fame, did attend the WHCD, to which the elder Palin warned her to “grit her teeth” in response to the Palin jokes that could pop up during the evening.

She attended the WHCD CURE fundraiser brunch, gave her speech at the Pro-Life fundraiser, and attended the Bloomberg/Vanity Fair and MSNBC after parties. Today she dedicates a new college arena/fundraiser in CA. Not bad for a weekend in the lower 48.

Now - after his photo op in (one) TN town to show off his sympathy for the tornado victims, Obama immediately went to FL for another fundraiser-photo-op and then went to DC for his coronation by the national press corpse at “his” dinner - getting loads of compliments for what actually was a very lousy comedy job that consisted of spearing Republican politicians and conservatives.

Who’s “real” -— and who’s the fake?

She didn’t miss much, did she.

Trump is the new Palin (AKA media punching bag).

The “nerd prom” is right - it’s a gathering chock full of people, all of whom think they are the legendary “smartest man in the room”.
A self-important ego-fest.

I had a call from a conservative group yesterday, when they beeped for my comments I told them to nominate Palin or forget 2012, you already lost it. You could tell they weren’t expecting my comment.

I thought she went last night, but she didn’t. I love it. Sarah chose to speak at a pro-life fundraiser instead of having dinner with pro-abortion, pro-death politicians as they crack vicious jokes against the innocent and the righteous.

Thank you Gov. Sarah Palin.

Rush called the WHCD as it is today a complete joke.

Amazing the amount of important people that still go to it.
Check out the list somewhere. Impressive.
