anybody remember Bush and his 90% approval because of the Gulf War swift victory? It fell apart because of the falling economy
In a few weeks if gas prices go up higher...any bump in Obama approval or U.S. euphoria which we ALL should be glad about will fall apart.
This is a President who refuses to even use the phrase the “war on terror.” Now he wants to act like he is Jack Bauer.
He’s going to get a nice bump.....and destroy it by running his mouth and continuing his past behavior.
I just listened to about 2 minutes of the speech and heard about 18 “I”s.
That was a good economy compared to this one.
Agree..good for Obama as his poll number will incrase(and USA since Osama is dead)in the short term but this will probably cause the middle east to become even worse...When Gas is at 5 or 6 dollars in the summertime, who is going to remember that Osama is dead... His death is not going to lower gas prices, or fix the deficit problem. Our economy has fundamental problems which Obama himself caused...

A moment that Obama could have ridden right into reelection, all he would have had to do is keep the speech to under 300 words, and it’d be repeated in it’s entirety over and over and over again by every news outlet. Instead, he’ll get a short excerpt.

Tonight shows us what an empty suit BHO is. We had to wait so long for him to make this announcement because he was waiting on his teleprompters to finish his speech. The man can’t even discuss this without notes. We have neutralized Al Qaeda for almost a decade. I have a dreadful feeling our security’s reality (or illusion) will now be demonstrated.

You are correct. Two weeks from now, if gas prices are still above $4.00 per gallon as they are here, Obama will be blamed. He may get a bump from this, but it won’t last.
I bet the teleprompter guy or the speech writer gets canned for inserting the part that UBL was killed today, of which the brainless “won” read out loud.
