I heard one TV talking head tonight mention that we will be hearing a great deal in the coming hours and days about the Joint Special Operations Command, and how this agency was instrumental in the death of Osama bin Laden.

2003 would make it the eighth anniversary.
I wish I could remember which network I was watching. It might have been Brian Williams on NBC. He was going on and on about JSOC was as big a part of the Armed Forces as the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.
Like it will be it’s own separate armed forces unit someday.

Joint Special Operations Command. All special operations units (Army Special Forces, Rangers, SEALs, Marine Force Recon, TF160, and a few miscellaneous units) are part of JSOC.
