The White House backed away Monday evening from key details in its narrative about the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, including claims by senior U.S. officials that the Al Qaeda leader had a weapon and may have fired it during a gun battle with U.S. forces.
Officials also retreated from claims that one of bin Ladens wives was killed in the raid and that bin Laden was using her as a human shield before she was shot by U.S. forces. ....
In another discrepancy, Brennan said during his on-the-record briefing that bin Ladens son Khalid was killed in the attack. However, the official White House transcript had the counterterrorism adviser saying it was another son, Hamza, who perished in the raid.

I am not a Birther but there is absolutely no question that the Obama White House loves playing games with the truth.
Subterfuge and distraction seems to be the order of the day for the most transparent administration in history.
One thing I don’t understand is how could zero watch the entire raid from the WH. Did CNN go in and set up cameras prior to the raid?
NOTHING coming from this joke of a present-ident and his sham administration can be trusted to be factual.
OK, so he WASN'T firing a weapon.... Would you believe he drew a knife?
My guess is that it was sent in real time...to the ship and to Bahrain and then “selective” segments sent for their viewing.I’ll bet they didn’t watch more than 5 minutes of actual “battle”.
video feed from helmet cameras - some have been posted
First of all, the truth is usually the best course.
That said, it appears that the guys speaking to the press have read too many Brad Thor and Vince Flynn novels, and want to make this more dramatic than it was; as if Obama was right there on the ground.
Thirdly, why change the story? Who is going to talk? The Special Ops guys? No, they and their families would become targets. The Paks? No. The other folks in the house? Yeah, and how much credibility would they have?
If you were in the VFW or AL hall bar and you heard these guys talking you would know they have never laced up a boot to walk in the woods, let alone to use for work. And the reporters are eating it up with a spoon.
I don’t buy into the conspiracy theories starting to swirl. But these guys are not helping themselves.
Just shut up.
Purportedly several of the SEALS had helmet mounted cameras whose footage was broadcast live to the “Situation Room”. Some law enforcement have been using them for over a year now as part of a CYA program.
He didn’t have a gun... he had an RPG... Yeah that is the ticket.
Wow, who got that scoop and please provide a link!
Barry’s holding out to get a movie deal with Mikey Moron.
The danger is that Obama's games and/or incompetence might just turn Osama bin Ladin into the D. B. Cooper of the Islamist terrorist movement.
Osama bin Ladin's value was not as a strategist or tactician. He handed those tasks over to others long ago. Osama's value was as a symbol. Barack Obama's incompetence and/or games might very well allow al Qaeda to plausibly claim that Osama bin Ladin never died and turn him into a symbol that can never be killed.
It does not matter what you and I believe. What matters is what Barack Obama is making it very easy for millions of Islamist fanatics to believe.
Lies are a part of war. I know that. I understand that. But lies, if they are told, must be told well.
The problems is that Obama's lies and Obama's "truths" are so full of holes that it becomes totally impossible to be certain of anything associated with him.

And you can't even see the comments, there were about 18 or so.
Usually they will lock a thread with comments on it so they can still be read
Oh well...
I have to chuckle at the “CYA program”. The ACLU will be looking at this scenario very closely to see if Bin Laden’s rights were violated. :-)
