An overwhelming majority of Americans say elementary school is no place to promote the homosexual lifestyle, and even among liberals there is the strong belief that such lessons should be left outside the door of the classroom, according to a new poll.
The results are from a WND/WENZEL Poll conducted for WND by the public-opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies.
"Whether they object on moral grounds or simply out of concern that many U.S. schools are failing in their core missions of teaching basics doesn't really matter – the vast majority of American adults want this type of curriculum kept out of the classroom," Wenzel chief Fritz Wenzel said.
The scientific telephone survey was done April 19-21, and has a margin of error of 3.23 percentage points. It found that 65 percent of all respondents objected to teaching elementary school children that homosexuality is a "normal alternative lifestyle."
The question was, "Do you believe elementary school children should be taught that homosexuality is a normal alternative lifestyle?"
Only 22 percent agreed that would be right, and only 13 percent were unsure.
Nearly 80 percent of the self-identified members of the GOP objected, as did nearly 60 percent of the independents. Even among those who identified with the Democrat Party, more than 55 percent said those lessons are not appropriate.
"Americans are particularly averse to the introduction of gay issues into the curriculum of the nation's elementary schools," Wenzel said. "Two out of every three respondents said they oppose the teaching to elementary school students that homosexuality is a normal alternative lifestyle, an attitude that is mirrored across the political spectrum.

Not surprising given that half of our kids can’t read, write, or do math well. Teachers should be freed up to teach what’s important, not to indoctrinate.
Yes, social issues are wedge issues. They're dividing us just as surely as the battle between limited constitutional government vs. Leftist Obammunism.

Not only do I object to teaching it is a normal life style in elementary school, I oppose it at any grade level.
I disagree. Any objection to homosexuality by minorities is powerfully eclipsed by their love for the goody factory. No where else but in D.C., which is overwhelmingly minority, should fake "marriage" have been defeated. But the black community's love of communists makes their dislike for sodomy as good as nothing.

It is abnormal and goes against Natural Law Theory. Teaching homosexuality to children in public schools undermine all Christian and Jewish parents and makes the Bible “hate speech”. The reason they want to introduce it (Heather has two Mommies—Daddy’s roommate etc.) is that they have to brainwash children while they are forming their worldview, and if they succeed in making the abnormal, normal, they succeed in killing off the concept of the Natural family and Christianity. They establish moral relativism—(no right and wrong standard) which destroys the culture where ever moral relativism takes hold.
Cultural Marxism is behind the homosexual movement (Hays=Communist) and Feminism (Friedan=Communist) and use Political Correctness to destroy logic and reason in our children (Cognitive dissonance). It is designed to destroy the two pillars that made America too strong to succumb to a Communist Revolution: Christianity and the Natural Family.

Not enough parents allow their little boys to watch the movie “Bareback Mountain” so they can dream like little Afgani boys who are molested regularly by men and dream of the time when they can abuse their own stable of boys. Also, like the ancient Greeks who courted and seduced young boys...homosexuality was glorified by the pagans and atheists who are trying to resurrect the wonderful days where pederasty was “beautiful” and part of utopia. Very sick lifestyle and it is learned as proven by the Afghani and Ancient Greek and Roman societies. Boys were handed over at 7 to be groomed. That is what happens in societies that allow moral relativism where there is no right and wrong.
Well educated children who can read & write would not be conducive to the societal destabilization program that “gay lessons” offer.

Democrats need to know where their Democrat elected officials stand on all of these issues. Because no matter what the Democrat says, a lot of Democrats will not like it.
We should definitely use it, but again, “Limited Constitutional Government” is the message.

Good point – although to be fair there are some very conservative regions in California. I just think the gay elite are too powerful and need to be put back in their place.

We really do not need to be teaching about perverts to gradeschool children
Our school systems were wonderful for about 200 years. They were not broken, and they did not need to become tools for those that want to use them for their agendas.
Dr. Benjamin Rush (1745-1813) was one of the youngest signers of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. He wrote a tract: Why the Bible should be taught in the public schools. He was a distinguished physician and scientist who held the first American professorship in America.He published the first American chemistry textbook.
Dr. Rush wrote: “I believe no man was ever early instructed in the truths of the Bible without having been made wiser or better by the early operation of these impressions upon his mind.”
He also wrote:”If moral precepts alone could have reformed mankind, the mission of the Son of God into our world would have been unnecessary.”
One last quote by Martin Luther: “If the Bible is not taught in our public schools, they will become the gates of hell.”
We know our public schools have become promoters of everything but what they were founded for. And so have our colleges and universities, and we pay a premimum for them.
