Besides being a major figure, al-Awlaki has been linked to a number of major terrorist attacks and plots such as the November 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood in Texas

Now just wait a minute here! We've been told over and over and over and over again that there was no terrorism at Fort Hood. It was just an Army major who flipped out. What's with this change of story now?
