Sources around Capitol Hill are chatting up a dark horse candidate for the 2012 Republican nominee for president, I'm told.
Conservative Republican donors and grassroots activists, who have raised concerns that there is not yet a true Reagan conservative in the GOP presidential primary are privately encouraging Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, Michigan Republican, to look at a potential entry.

I *wondered* why Howie has this guy on so often.
Great name id!!!!! Other than that who knows!!!!! And that is a joke!!!!!!!
I think it’s a disadvantage to be a D.C. politician this time around, but let’s have a big field.
No thanks
Run Thaddeus Run !!!
One thing is for sure...Thaddeus would rip Barack to shreds in any debate.
I agree...it would be worth it for that alone.

hey, I got mugged on a different thread for not knowing someone a handful of people knows/knew/knowethed.
Great. A House back bencher. That’ll work.
I liked him until he did a total flip flop on the bail outs because they’d help his state and the UAW and the automakers. You have to stand by your principals all the time, not just when it affects the other 49 states.
A Reagan conservative would not have been in favor of the Auto bailout. If someone from Michigan must support Obama Motors, then being from Michigan disqualifies them.
Reserve judgement until you have heard this guy speak......he a Conservative Krauthammer....without the mondale twist....he is more intelligent than any candidate....but photogenically the opposite of Romney...
Sorry about that, but I have never heard of the fellow, he is really running for VP I guess.
Does he have someone named McHorshack who might be working for him?
I love to listen to Thaddeus. He has a great, sarcastic sense of humor. He is often on Red Eye and Fox Business Channel shows. He would slice and dice Barry in a debate, but, alas, he resembles Ichabod Crane.
He's no Haircut Romney, that's for sure.
Ehhh...Given the uninspiring field so far, the more the merrier.
