Yes, raw milk could be a problem if not properly handled. In fact, I just read an interesting article on Borden’s being the first to have strict requirements for their farmers to keep things clean in order to cut down on problems.
But people should be able to decide for themselves if they want to take the chance. When I was first married I could buy raw milk in Colorado. I can’t buy in here in FL (I am interested in making cheese). Apparently you can buy in from certified small dairies here “for pet use”.
We used to get milk from a farmer down the road when I was a kid. The only problem we ever had was once when she (the cow) ate something odd and the milk had a weird taste. Otherwise, it was wonderful. BTW you can skim the cream off and make butter with it in your blender.
