TEL AVIV (Reuters) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu headed for talks in Washington on Friday saying that U.S. President Barack Obama's vision of a Palestinian state on the borders of 1967 could leave Israel "indefensible."
"The viability of a Palestinian state cannot come at the expense of Israel's existence," he said in a statement before flying to the United States for scheduled talks with Obama.

Saeb Erekat, a former chief peace negotiator, said: "Abbas expresses his appreciation of the continuous efforts exerted by President Obama with the objective of resuming the permanent status talks in the hope of reaching a final status agreement."

Actually I think he believes he can wear whatever 'religious' dress that fits his campaign speeches. It is like playing 'god' and he is the image that reaches out and down to the rest of the animal kingdom.
This speech today was calculated for a specific audience and I have yet to determine which 'religious' base he intended to motivate.

I have never liked this man from day one of his campaign. Even then he was not the man who spoke at ther 2004 convention, although even then I was not highly impressed by a speech that was riven with cliches and liberal pieties. On the campaign, from the start, there was this COLDNESS, as if he were certain of the future.
I pray that the British don’t get any ideas of pushing the USA to the “pre-1776” borders.

Israel is putting down their negotiating position. For military reasons a retreat from the Golan Heights would seem to be unwise. On the other hand, demographics might very well force Israel to eventually to relinquish much of the West Bank if Israel wishes to remain a majority Jewish democracy. That’s the same reason such a stout hardliner like Sharon handed over Gaza.

I’ve heard Mexico is demanding the US retrogress to the pre-Mexican–American War borders, circa, 1848.
As I recollect, Israel ended 1967 on the Suez canal, with the West Bank with Gaza, with Jerusalem, and on the Golan heights. I am glad that Obama agrees with that as a basis for Israel’s borders.

Netanyahu should go to the McDonalds and buy his lunch before he goes to the White House and be photographed with it in his hand as he enters.
Send the message to the Muslim in charge that his former insult at their last meeting was not forgotten .
