That's what the Jehovah's Witnesses were saying in their little comic-book pamphlet, The Watchtower, 40 years ago. They predicted, from their Bible reading, that the Antichrist would arise in America as a "man of peace", and then stab the chosen people of Israel in the back, and the final battle would be fought out in the Megiddo Pass, the place called Armageddon. It would be a battle of annihilation between the Arab and Russian armies on one side and the Children of Israel and their Christian allies on the other.

It could be how the Tribulation starts. Obama has practically said that the US will not defend Israel if they are attacked by the Muslim world, which means that the Muslims are more likely to attack. An attack that is repulsed by God will mean that the Rapture and Tribulation is very near.
