NWS rarely identifies "High Risk" areas, whereas "Moderate Risk" areas aren't uncommon. This could be another busy weather night.

My apologies for the all caps; that's the way it comes from NWS.

All quiet here in southern Michigan today but we’ve had rain for 19 of the past 23 days.

This is nonstop. What the hell is with all these tornadoes and not in ‘Tornado Alley’ either. This is like the end of times, has it ever been this bad?

Meteorologists tend to shout when they get excited.

(Not excited happy, mind you. They don’t like the widespread death and destruction.)

Anyway, do you have a link to that first map, the one that’s looping? That’s a great map.

Prayers up for protection of people and property.

This pattern of severe weather is being caused by:

1. Internal combustion engine
2. Incandescent light bulb
3. Plastic water bottles
4. Bovine gas

I work with a weather forecaster. He says Central Indiana has a reason to be worried tomorrow. He's predicting multiple tornado watches and warnings going out early afternoon tomorrow and bad weather will follow.

Prayers need to go up.

We saw some helicopter footage from Joplin...The damage was absolutely incredible, like a nuclear weapon detonated in the middle of the city.

Note: The area of High Risk has be enlarged since this morning to now encompass most of Oklahoma (not including the panhandle) and parts of northern Texas.

We are right in the middle of the high risk area. We are placing supplies in our shelter, including the means to deal with looters. And for all those doubters, if you look at everything that has been going on in the world, including frequent and unusual extreme weather outbreaks then you can only conclude that we are close to the End of Days. For those without discernment, remember not to take the Mark.

National Weather Service Storm Event Summary, Joplin, MO.

They are classifying the tornado as EF-4. Includes storm track. Not sure how much more damage an EF-5 could do.

I miss living in Kansas. West Texas is dry as a bone. I loved severe weather days (unless of course I got damage from it or people were hurt).

I may get into trouble in writing this, but could this all be in “response” to our administration’s policies towards Israel? Not just with what Hussien said last week about the 1967 borders but all the other anti-Israeli policies the last 2 years and the funding of Israel’s neighboring countries?

I beginning to wonder about it......

I’m in the southern part of the “high-risk” area - don’t think we get into this weather pattern but every 3 or 4 years at most. Scary, but nothing out of the ordinary. Severe weather is par for the course this time of the year, and is nothing out of the ordinary. The fact that storms have incidentally struck high-density communities of late is the only reason for irrational alarm.
