He’s a real loser if he thinks that he’s actually riling anybody.

I think it’s funny.

Sheesh, some people give themselves too much credit.

I’ve just started deleting his FReepmails without reading them. They never say anything different anyway and I’m not going to let him waste my time.

Are you willing to have the Head Detective in your bedroom?

In a rush to make the play on words, which I admit was clever, you have missed the argument.

The issue was not whether banning this practice or that perversion was something we wanted. GraceC's original point was about the practicality of enforcement. And yes, as it turns out, we have many laws on the books that deal with crimes inside ones home, and we are enforcing them just fine.

Now back to your question about oral sex. I will answer it this way. A few years ago, a German pervert killed and ate another German pervert... with his consent, in the privacy of his bedroom. Do I want the police "in our bedrooms" to ensure that does not happen again? You bet!

We have to allow society to draw moral lines that can only be crossed illegally. My belief is that, over time, a free society will draw the lines appropriately.

Don’t be racist and push some supposed republican just because he’s black! Anybody involved in the private group called the Federal Reserve should not be pres.
Herman Cain:

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/05/herman-cain-federal-reserve-chairman-tea-party-champion/239519/
“Although it hasn’t gotten much attention, he was actually chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank in the mid-1990s. That’s the epitome of the Establishment and the opposite of the tea party.

From 1992 to 1996, Herman served as a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in the capacities of deputy chairman and then chairman of the Board. Fed directors are dedicated representatives of Main Street business, community development, organized labor and financial services sectors who agree to give their time to help the Federal Reserve understand the economy and to oversee our operations.

According to the LDS website the church opposes all elective abortion, but allows abortion in cases of rape or incest or if medical authority deems the health of the mother at risk or if the baby is unlikely to survive after birth. In the latter cases they say abortion should not be automatic but only done after consulting church leaders and prayerful consideration.

I know many on FR would disagree with some of this, but it seems to me an essentially pro-life position. I don't know how Romney could say it's not pro-life, for sure.

Bishop Romney was over other Bishops, and he has decades of teaching and missionary work on Mormon doctrine, and non of us have ever heard of a hint of dispute between his teachings and those of his church.

Romney stated in an interview that his church does not say that Mormons should be pro-life, and that some of it’s leaders are known as pro-choice.

Governor Mitt Romney: And every Mormon should be pro-life?

Jan Mickelson: If that’s what your Church says.

Governor Mitt Romney: That’s not what my Church says! There are leaders of my Church who are pro-choice. You’re wrong. That’s your problem.

Jan Mickelson: No that’s false logic. Your Church’s official position is pro-life.

Governor Mitt Romney: No, no-no, no no. We can continue that conversation

Jan Mickelson: We only have about 30 seconds. Unless you want to stay longer.

Governor Mitt Romney: I’ve got to run.

I think Romney's view of his church's stance on abortion is, shall we say, malleable, just like his views on health care.

Yes, it is true that prominent Mormon politicians have been pro-choice, as he himself was. But that doesn't make the church's position pro-choice. Just ask the Pope and Catholic bishops about that one.

You described a high level of flexibility in the official Mormon stance on abortion, I don’t think that the Catholic church does that does it?

Wouldn’t an openly pro-choce Catholic Bishop, raised by what Mitt claims was an early pro-abortion Senate candidate called his mother, be widely considered and known as being in rebellion from the leadership of his church?

Romney in reality is not a devout Mormon, as evidenced by his using the institution of marriage and family to barter with sexual degenerates in order to obtain their support for his run at the mass governorship. Now LDS inc may give a duplicitous scumbag like Mitt Romney a pass ... but I don’t think so. Sadly, too many Mormons vote for this sort of duplicitous pondscum because he is professing Mormonism while not actually following even that religion!

I think you have a misconception about what a Mormon bishop is. He is not an official of the church and is essentially a lay minister. Romney cannot speak for the church. Thus the analogy to a hypothetical renegade pro-choice Catholic bishop doesn't work.
