MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (Reuters) - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney broke with Republican orthodoxy on Friday by saying he believes that humans are responsible, at least to some extent, for climate change.
"I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that," he told a crowd of about 200 at a town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire.
"It's important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors."

BS it's getting warmerFirst of all, I don't believe that "the Earth" has a climate. There are lots of climate zones, and they are changing all the time. They get colder, they get warmer, they get wetter, they get dryer. It probably is true that most places are warmer than they were 200 years ago. It's CERTAINLY true that New Hampshire is warmer than it was 10 000 years ago.
This begs the question, "what does this have to do with mankind, and specifically with "greenhouse gasses"?
The assertion that recent changes (as opposed to all the other changes) are "caused" by humans is deeply unscientific, and anyone who believes that science supports this concept is a scientific illiterate.
The problem this poses with Romney is that his stock-in-trade is convening the "experts" to get "the answer", free of any nasty, political motivations.
In a case like this one, where the "experts" are the problem, he is helpless.

What does anyone expect from a man whose entire belief system (including religion) is based upon feelings rather than facts?!
I’m not surprised in the least, par for the course.
When you start with a faulty premise, you will always get faulty results.

“If the republic has to burn, at least let the other side take the heat.”
Nice quote. I’m gonna save that one.

The world has been warming up for the last 12,000 years. That's why there aren't ice sheets a mile thick in Washington D.C. any more. I don't believe Americans where driving SUVs 12,000 years ago.
FDR once said: "We will make the air black with industry". Today's politicians, of either party, believe the most important thing is for the air to smell nice, and we don't really need to produce anything. Let the Chinese do it, then we can borrow money from them to finance a high standard of living without dirtying our fingers with anything so tawdry as manufacturing.

I believe Pawlenty has honorably flip flopped and disavows his climate change past. Romney is for Romneycare, hes unacceptable. Huntsman is worse than Romney. Gingrich is a d-bag. Sanfords career is over.I just found out that Sarah Palin flipped on cap and trade. I guess we can't all be perfect now, can we?
