MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (Reuters) - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney broke with Republican orthodoxy on Friday by saying he believes that humans are responsible, at least to some extent, for climate change.
"I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that," he told a crowd of about 200 at a town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire.
"It's important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors."

Seven more tries and he can top Harold Stassen.
I'm convinced he's mentally ill.
To: AT7Saluki
LOL. As if his candidacy wasn't already on life support, he's now joining Newtie and Nan on the couch?!
To: NWFLConservative
He is a loser regardless if he is nominated.
Your Third Party beliefs are probably accurate, but at least there would be a chance versus no chance with Romney (D or R Ma).
If I have to die in a battle, better a battle I can believe in.

The world is not getting warmer, and neither is his presidential campaign.

Just like Newt, Mr. RINO-care shows right out of the gate why he’s unfit for office.
To: AT7Saluki
As far as I am concerned, he is done. Probably ruled him out before this, but thought he would be better than nothing. Along with Newt.
(wringing hands...) How are we ever going to find someone who truly represents us?

Thats a sure fire attitude to kill our kids.
In contrast it gives them a chance to rebuild. Both Romney and Obama are big government socialists. With its current debt load, massive unemployment, social debauchery the US cannot survive another big government socialist administration. So far as the survival of our kids is concerned it doesn't matter if the big government socialist has an R or a D after their name. But it matters a lot for the grand kids. Because whoever takes the blame for the collapse will be out of office for two generations.
Look at it this way. Hoover took the fall for the Great Depression. He was a progressive just like FDR and both their policies exacerbated the depression. But the Republicans would never be forgiven because it was one of theirs who was in charge when things came apart.
A solid constitutional conservative can stop the collapse. A progressive with an "R" after their name cannot. And there is no reason to vote for someone who cannot stop the collapse. And if it cannot be stopped, I would want the socialists and progressive to take the blame for the disaster they have created. That way they will be out of power for 40 years and the conservatives would have a chance to determine what the reconstructed US will look like.

Holy cow. It sounds like he’s angling for a Romney/Gingrich ticket. If someone doesn’t rip the wheels off his wagon pretty darn soon, this is going to get real scary.

Facepalm is my first reaction, but I supect this is just politics; Kyoto is dead, cap and trade won’t happen, etc., everyone knows it. Conservatives aren’t the intended audience here, it’s moderates, independents, and disaffected Dems for the general election. Whether that makes for a smart primary strategy is questionable, especially in the early states, but they must figure he can hold out.
To: GonzoGOP
We won’t rebuild from another 4 years of Obama. We’re playin for all the marbles here.
