Amy Kremer from Tea Party Express was just on Fox and was very clear that TPE would not support a 3rd party candidate, that they would work to get the best possible candidate within the GOP. But she also said IF Mitt Romney ended up with the nomination TPE would support him because it's all about defeating Obama.
She said on Hannity the other night: "If they’re not careful in the GOP, there will be a third party rise-up. That is what the GOP should be fearing today.” OK that's not an endorsement of a 3rd party but it's not really a non-endorsement either.
Yes, it's a warning to the GOP that some will want to go third party. And you're right, she is not being critical of those people who would make such a warning. But the bottom line is, latter in the interview, she said, she would not go third party.

That's a good strategy.

I would hold back my support at this point.
