Republicans call for Anthony Weiner to resign

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said Tuesday that Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) should resign in the wake of his admission that he was involved in online relationships with multiple women and initially lied about having mistakenly sent a lewd photo out on his Twitter feed.

Asked if Weiner should step down after a local Chamber of Commerce luncheon in Louisa, Virginia, Cantor said that "Congressman Weiner and his constituents will make that decision. I certainly don't condone his activity and I think he should resign."

"We've got a lot of serious challenges going on in this country and a lot of work for Congress to do," he added. "The last thing we need is to be immersed in discussion about Congressman Weiner and his Twitter activities."

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, meanwhile, said "Congressman Weiner's actions and deception are unacceptable and he should resign."

It would be funny if he said he wanted to resign to spend more time with the family, heal the marriage, etc. Huma still works for and travels overseas with Hillary, so they don’t have a lot of couple time to start with. And they wouldn’t get more couple time if he did resign.

Sheesh.........

Of course a good Democrat can’t be expected to resign in scandal. Remember, differing standards for Republicans and Democrats.

The Twitter sluts probably don’t want him anymore.

Before he was “The Bad Boy”. Now he is just a pathetic loser.

Pelosi called for Rep Chris Lee (R) to strp down

"The GOP source said it is noteworthy that Pelosi called for an investigation but did not demand Weiner step down -- as happened with former Rep. Chris Lee. The married Republican from western New York resigned in February, following a report that he had tried to meet a woman on Craigslist.

Ms. Huma is proclaimed to be an unusually intelligent, gifted person, very personally close to HRC. I wonder how intelligent and gifted this woman is if she married that pervert Anthony Weiner. She cannot, by any means be the sharpest knife in the drawer. But.....who knows, sounds like a marriage of convenience to me. You all get the point now, don’t you?

Republicans call for Anthony Weiner to resign

That's not quite what Cantor said. Give See-BS an "A" for creativity. They took a story that was pretty much a liberal nightmare--a rising star Lib ends his career in one of the most humiliating ways possible--and they find a way to spin it into yet another "those Republicans are being partisan again" storyline. When life gives See-BS anti-liberal lemons, they squeeze and contort them into anti-conservative lemonaide as best as possible!

Don’t you get sick and tired of the mantra that ALL liberal women are brilliant? It’s such a lie. Hillary is a mediocre workaholic hack and Huma is her right hand gal. Both of them shackled to psychopaths. Yeah, right, genuises.

For those interested, Trump has an hilarious youtube video ripping the Weinster. He apparently begged Trump for money on a continual basis.

I think I'm starting to. Something along the lines of she wanted a weiner and he had one. Either that, or love, right?

Anthony Weiner should replace Debbie Wasserman Schultz as the DNC chairperson.

Maybe, just maybe Huma is not into weiners as we've all suspected over the years.

Poor Anthony was between a rock and a hard place?

I certainly don't condone his activity and I think he should resign.

What a howling bore. He should have said, "Stay in your seat, Tony! This is going to be as fun as being on the set of 'Monty Python's Flying Circus.' As they're saying on Free Republic, 'The jokes write themselves!' "

Someone could read Iowahawk's "Weinermandius" poem into the Congressional Record.

It’s the Clinton association. When you’re nailed to the wall, make sure to cry.
