We have all seen the different groups slowly encroach into areas. They employ different strategies to keep unwanted groups out. The wealthier people have gated communities with streets that have no parking or other restrictions to keep outsiders out. At the other end of the spectrum people use graffiti or drive-by shootings to keep undesirables away.
Call it civil rights violations if you want.

I lived in Azusa from 1955, when I was born, to just before my 11th birthday, when my mother moved us to Westchester. My mother worked for Aerojet. Every year they would sponsor a big picnic in the park. The last one I remember devolved into a hugh fight between the ethnic groups. Back then girls wore bee-hive hairdos. They would hide double-edge razor blades in their hair so as to cause injury if they were grabbed. The race war has been going on much longer than this article would let on.
I’ve been told do not go back to visit, and I won’t.
