The mean-spiritedness and racism are coming from those who make disgusting and ridiculous comments about ‘angry white men’, and who talk about ‘taking back Mexico's land’, and who talk about becoming the majority in the US by 2050 through immigration and high birth rates. I don't recall hearing people like Ms. Bauer criticizing La Raza for their racism.

The problem with people like Bauer is that they think they are on the enlightened, morally superior side of all their pet issues, and are thus closed minded and dogmatic, and think they are justified in pushing their ideology and agenda on the rest of us, no matter what the consequences.

Incidentally, Ms. Bauer makes $258,669 a year working for the not-for-profit Southern Poverty Law Center, while telling the rest of us how to live and to not complain when non-citizens get our tax dollars.
