The president has unveiled a plan to cut joblessness with an industrial policy from the 19th century. In this "new" economy, government will pick winners and losers for industry. It didn't work then, it won't work now.
Taking a cue from classical Marxist theory as well as vintage union organizing doctrine, both discounting the value of service work over manufacturing, we now see President Obama touting training for factory jobs over all others, pushing government spending in that area and calling it a jobs recovery plan.
It's as if all the economic knowledge acquired in the course of the 20th century never made it to the Obama White House. Obama wants to pick industrial winners while the economy languishes from high taxes, massive new regulatory burdens and his failure on free trade.

Unless you’re part of Obama’s inner circle, I don’t think there’s any way to know what exactly motivates him. Personally, I think he’s simply following his ideology. I’d really like to believe he thinks he’s going to help the country by turning it into the USSR (as though the fall and failure of the USSR and its ideology never happened). The alternative, that he intentionally wants to destroy the USA, is very difficult for me to accept. Of course the end result is the same in either case.
To think I actually served for more than two decades to defeat the USSR and Communism only to see the USA go down the same path. We really had an exceptional country where individual liberty and morality were once the norm. To see President Obama and his ilk (let’s not forget he’s far from alone) turn the USA into just another socialistic, big government, administrative state is so hard for me to accept. Whatever happened to the rugged individualism Americans once favored?

It went out, as more and more people were fooled into thinking that the government is there to solve all their problems, and they are depending on the government, instead of themselves, forgetting that if they want the government to help, they will be owned by the government.
Yeah, communist failures.
I now believe the only reason communism has any appeal to elitists is in the incredibly stupid, bombastic belief - only they can make it work! Everyone else is stupid and expendable.
Of course they accrue immense power to themselves, able to make decisions concerning the lives and deaths of millions of people. But is doesn’t compute: people are like widgits, the imaginary components used in accounting lessons; abstract items without faces and souls. The suffering of large populations doesn’t affect them. It is as though they are brain dead.

She is a Chicago slum lord, born in Iran, and a hardened Communist. She doesn’t give a damn about anyone, period. It is all about power accrued illegally to herself.
There are a lot of threads woven into this situation. I, too, served during the Cold War. But this isn’t exactly the same. I perceive it is very complicated. There are many people and movements involved, and not all of them get along.

Whatever their motivations, we can certainly agree they are doing terrible damage to the US and its public institutions. All of them are essentially un-American. They certainly do not believe in letting people live free. Their answer to every problem is always the same—more government.
There was a time when most people were too proud to take government handouts, and handouts were meant only for the truly needy. Now large numbers, maybe even a majority, of Americans not only expect government help, they demand it. Dependency is a foolish way to go through life, but it’s more dire than that. If it’s not stopped, the dependency culture will ultimately consume and destroy our economy. Sad thing is, EVERYONE, including liberals know this to be true. I don’t know of anyone, liberal or conservative, who isn’t conservative in their private economic transactions. Yet, the left has this massive disconnect when it comes to public policy. Would these people hire people to do make work on their own dime? No way.
You must understand that the destruction of America is a must to accomplish his view of A BETTER AMERICA.
Remember the Communists that took power in Russia did by taking over the revolution in Russia.
Communism needs Political/Social/Financial upheaval to be able to step in and take power. Communists DO NOT NEED a majority.
Hell, a majority of Americans do not agree with Obama’s views or agendas... far from it. But our press has kept the folks stupid and uniformed. Right now Caley Anthony is on the Hard News shows all day!

If the factory jobs existed here,people would have been training for them all along. They no longer do so he may as well train a million astronauts for a space program he’s pretty much defunded.
