I wonder how the cops will respond to "civilians" who are wearing one? Before or after you refuse to remove it?

I'd bet dollars to doughnut-holes that the cops would arrest you for wearing one of these to document THEIR activities.

This stuff has been out for a while, and there are far less expensive units on the market.
Everything from ear pieces and sunglasses, to video recording watches and pens.

Not well. I wonder too how many will malfunction at critical times. They look as if they could be easily dislodged.
On balance though, this should be helpful.

Of course I'm going to trust that the video hasn't been altered, or partially erased, or simply disappeared, when I protest against police brutality. /sarc

That’s BS!!!
Dude did not have flashing lights, presented no evidence of being LEO and Pulls a gun?
I think the car the LEO was driving was his personal car. This guy wasn’t a plain clothes officer. He was off work.
I hope this guy sues the city or county of this LEO.

I think it’s just fine if every moment of every shift is recorded, and any gaps are construed against the prosecution.
If cops have these but aren’t wearing them off duty, they are to have no special rights or privileges (such as carrying a gun when and where citizens can’t).
The recordings must be public record, with limitations for police investigation matters.

Local cops here already have the cameras that attach to the front of their uniforms.

I wonder how the cops will respond to "civilians" who are wearing one? Here in Austin, the APD officers have been buying the cameras for themselves. There have been several PD related shootings, and the Justice Bros have been on their case. Sometimes the dash cams did not get the actual shooting footage, so the PD is protecting themselves.
