Although smoking kills and I teach against, yet another human privelege being taken away from those who choose to smoke. What’s next?
How are they going to smoke pot?
Nanny State PING!
I’m guessing “medical” marijuana will get a pass.
No more pot/crack/meth parties.
Snus.
Got it already at the University of Florida.
“The school says it will be enforced by voluntary compliance and peer and supervisory support, but not fines. “
Gee,then I’d just keep smoking outdoors.
I was at LSU from 1952>1957. The cigarette companies, Lucky Strike, Camel, etc. hired campus representatives (students) to pass out FREE samples of their products to students coming and going from classes. I did not smoke and never have, but I would take the samples and pass them on the my smoking friends. Even then they were called “coffin nails”.
Second hand smoke has been pretty well eleminated. I would suggest that the eviros now go after “second hand noise.” Boom boxes in cars, loud mufflers on cars, pickups, and noisy tires. In my current neighborhood, there are cars that can be heard from 200 to 300 feet away, coming and going. Is loud audio system noise, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM some kind of mental viagra ????
