Obama: It’s ‘nonsense’ I’m calm about state of economy
In an exclusive TODAY interview, the president talks about the challenges of job creation

In an exclusive interview with TODAY’s Ann Curry that aired Tuesday, President Barack Obama addressed the notion that he is unemotional about the human toll that the economic crisis has taken.

“I think ordinary folks understand I spend all my time thinking about this stuff, because I'm talking to these folks every single day,’’ he said. “When I see them at meetings, and they start crying, the notion, somehow, that I'm calm about that, is nonsense. But what is true is that as president, my job is to make sure that I am finding every good idea that we can to move the country forward.’’

When it comes to the psychological pain that joblessness, bankruptcy, hunger and homelessness have taken on the citizenry, Obama said he understood the emotional component and that he will be ultimately be judged on whether concrete strides are made in correcting the situation.

The success of investments in clean energy, better job training at the college level, tax cuts for small businesses and the elimination of outdated regulations are all programs that will go toward determining whether the administration is successful in combating the economic crisis, he said.

“You know, if what we do works, and people see progress and feel a sense that it's making a difference, then they are going to respond, and they're going to feel more confident,’’ he said. “But until they actually see some difference in their lives, they’re going to continue to be frustrated, and so am I.’’

I think someone here finally hit the nail on the head

Obama is no evil genius, he is a ‘usefule idiot’ to his masters.

He was never taught HOW to think, he was only taught WHAT to think.

He knows one solution and applies it to every problem - more govenment

Obama is “calm” because his plan to destroy America is on course.

With Obama,
is government the only tool,
or is government the only goal?

Important distinction.

I think the latter is more accurate. He and his puppet masters SEEK economic collapse in order to attain full control with a greatly empowered government.

He is giving Republicans great campaign commercials on a silver platter. Just hope they are smart enough to use them. Yesterday laughing about “shovel-ready jobs”. Millions of Americans are NOT laughing about the economy and losing their homes and their pensions. I hate the man so much. I have never hated a president. I don’t really “hate” but I hate Obama with a depth I can’t even explain.

And I am not racist - I hate his white half just as much as the black!

When YOU'RE Not the one unemployed and trying to figure out how to pay the bills, you can afford to be calm.

The potential exists for one of the all-time great campaign commercials. Just repeat this line over and over again with pictures of Zero golfing, Zero on vacation, Zero at glitzy parties, Zero fundraising.

Drive this message home again and again and again. This man does not care.

WOW! 10,000 new engineers to serve burgers and fries! Or maybe they could be golf caddies.

Excuse me, but how many engineers are in the job market that were pinked slipped from the big three auto-makers, auto suppliers and NASA. That’s not mentioning all the other firms that down-sized their engineering staffs over the past 3 years.

Narcissists always appear calm when faced with the problems of others, in a crisis, or when there is trouble all around. IT IS BECAUSE A NARCISSIST CANNOT CONNECT WITH REAL EMOTIONS. A narcissist cannot empathize or even feel an ounce of true sorrow. They can only fake it.

A narcissist takes this road: If I act calm, then people will have confidence in me and think I am able to control my emotions and they will admire that.

That is how a narcissist thinks in a crisis. It is only when personally challenged or criticized that you will see a narcissist go bonkers or show his emotions. Usually by screaming, cursing, and blaming someone else while in a fit of anger.

He is also fodder for great campaign commercials...

“Obama is fine with $4 a gallon gas. Are you?”

Of course he’s not calm - he’s agitated and upset that he’s hit a few speed bumps along the way to socialist ruin.

It demonstrates how Obama was trained to think about the economy. It's the Soviet way -- "Our factory will be a success if it manufactures 10 tons of screws." "Oh, what are the screws for?" "I don't know. No one has ordered any screws from us for years. But we will meet our quota."

There is no evidence that we need to make 10,000 new engineers. But heck, it will look good on paper, I suppose. We need a business climate that can employ the engineers we already have. I'm sure this totally goes over Obama's head.

*Obama is “calm” because his plan to destroy America is on course.*

It's the only thing that makes sense. No one could possible be as dumb as 0bama pretends to be. You can't fix the economy by “necessarily causing energy costs to skyrocket” or by promoting the $700 trillion AGW scam or with costly 0bamacare or by restricting oil production in the US.

We appear to have an enemy of the state running things.

He's another campaign commercial.

“Gas is $4 a gallon....Obama only wants to raise it another dollar”

“Hope and change...I hope I can find enough change in my sofa to buy gas to get to work”

That phrase, more than almost any other, tells me what a little mind he has.
