CA: After long hiatus, Meg Whitman steps back into public view

...Whitman doubts she will ever again run for elected office, and for many months she said little about the campaign. But she has started popping up recently on radio and TV. For a beaten candidate who wishes to remain relevant in politics – Whitman is advising Republican front-runner Mitt Romney in his presidential campaign, and she plans to involve herself in California ballot initiatives – it helps to stay in view.

(snip)

She said she plans to support ballot initiatives perhaps as early as this summer, likely involving education policy. She said she will recruit and support Republican candidates for office. She contributed $500, the maximum, to Republican Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher's campaign for San Diego mayor.

Romney was meeting with advisers on the East Coast when Whitman returned from the charter school to her office to join them in a video conference.

1) Spend a fortune
2) Be an unprincipled, two-faced candidate
3) Lose general election

Check, check, checkmate.

She’s the perfect adviser for a rat like Romney.

Getting Whitman into the Cal. Governor’s office was part of Romney’s 2012 plan.

the *are* natural allies. both long time crony capitalists, playing off the government at the expense of smaller businesses; both orthodox, play nice repub ceo in the collective sand box; each with no real entreprenural experience. i.e., their sucsesses were handed to them by the R collective.

btw, what i’m seeing on the ground in ca is that the repub collective at the party foot soldier level is backing romney.

it may be his strategy is to win in ca with crossover dem and rino collective support so prevelant in the people’s republic of the big blue states with failed repub parties.

imo, i think it’s a good bet (given his radical positions) that his handlers are not trying to get real conservative or tea party votes at this point.

There are only two things Whitman should be doing. Getting her ex-housekeeper deported, even if it takes a criminal copmplaint personally filed by Whitman, and getting Gloria Allread disbarred [for throwing the housekeeper under the bus, by admitting to being an illegal, and committing several felonies].

Aside from that, buzz off.
