Anyone can parody her, report on her, talk about her, write about her, etc....all they want.

It’s to protect the monetary value of her name, that’s it.

This is all obout profit from the palin brand...which is exactly what SP has been all about since she quit her job in Alaska.

One prays for a different end to the BP story though.

I work on and off with Hollywood (which is a different world than film-making). The widely accepted utter lack of morality coupled with the drive for material possession is a mortal threat to the character. It is easir for me, at my stage in life, to see the depravity for what it is than it is for an impressionable young person who has already shown miserable judgement skills.

I would never wish ill to anyone, including BP, but the odds of her pursuit of celebrity changing her for the worse are exponentially greater than the odds of her swimming through that swamp and emerging with her character strengthened.

That was where I was headed with this too. Didn’t want to say it in case folks would think I’m anti Palin by saying such.

I am not. I applaud her efforts inside or outside the official political arena. She is so effective from the outside that I am ok with a decision to stay effective and filthy rich as a non candidate. She is unique in that regard.
