Folks, Timmy is a Pubbie functionary - nothing more. While I wouldn't go so far as calling him a RINO, he isn't the conservative people think.

As Gov. of MN, he did, in fact, hold the line on spending - but did nothing to actually reduce spending. Point in fact, he renamed the hated Department of Children, Families and Learning back to its original title of Department of Education to great cheers and fanfare early in his administration - but did nothing to reform or reduce the agency that oversees half of the MN budget. Another indicator is has “position” on global warming. Not really sure and never talked about until consensus and our media began to push for government measures, then, voila!, he “believed in global warming” and felt we needed to do something about it - what would that be? Now, of course, he's on the national stage and in the eye of conservatives again (who are more important than ever) and he has come to a revelation and rethought his GW “position” - whodathunkit?

Point is, he ain't the man we need. If you're a pragmatist and want somebody better than what we have, why, he'll do I suppose. The down side is that you'll continue to get a down side. That is, he may (big word)) hold a line on spending, but you'll still be facing astronomical debt and ongoing spending levels without draconian revisions in our government and social systems that are now thoroughly addicted to pissing money. The change we need is only going to come through somebody willing to exercise real power and surgically remove the cancers on our body politic that are consuming our lives and liberties.

Timmy ain't that man. I thought he was as a state delegate long ago but I know better now. The best man from MN for conservative change wears a skirt . . .

If the choice was between Pawlenty and Bachmann, I would have to chose Bachmann. T-Paw simply does not have a spine.
