Former half-term Gov. Sarah Palin has reportedly packed in her bus tour...halfway through.
Real Clear Politics is reporting that Palin and her family have returned to Alaska from their "One Nation" bus tour, despite tentatively scheduled stops in Iowa and South Carolina.
From Scott Conroy at RCP:
Though Palin and her staff never announced a timeline for the remaining legs of her trip, aides had drafted preliminary itineraries that would have taken her through the Midwest and Southeast at some point this month. But those travel blueprints are now in limbo, RCP has learned, as Palin and her family have reverted to the friendly confines of summertime Alaska, where the skies are currently alight for over 19 hours a day and the Bristol Bay salmon fishing season is nearing its peak.
Palin's intent to visit Iowa and South Carolina, as well as one stop in New Hampshire, caused some speculation that she was starting to get serious about a run for president in 2012.
The bus tour was launched over Memorial Day weekend, and was particularly scrutinized after one event in Boston where Palin badly flubbed the story behind Paul Revere's ride.
Your point is? Read through my posts if you think it’s an issue, and please explain what the issue with wondering what’s going on here is.
Is it October yet?
How can someone quit a bus tour when no one even knew her schedule..stupid libs trying to make some BS out of nothing
I hope that those remarks were beneath you, but it’s not immediately obvious from this thread.
They’re just angry that they didn’t find a ‘smoking gun’ in her e-mails.
Notice how that story fell off the radar fast.
TPM makes KOS look like FreeRepublic.
She quit half way through? Gee that doesn’t sound like her.
LOL!!!!
When you make a statement like this....
“If she wants to be in the race, it would be good to declare soon, in my opinion.”
....it helps to understand why you think that declaring “soon” is a good idea. Stick around, you’ll learn a lot.
Think of all the ink wasted trying to torpedo Palin while Bachman announces and gets rolling.
Remember "x" number of column inches and airtime must be filled. If they waste space and airtime on Sarah when she ain't running they can't target Bachman as much.
It makes me wonder...
Got Agenda?
wow nothing like making crap up out of whole cloth.
The only thing my 3 hellions had to play was *Speak-and Spell*...that was it...with all the electronics the kids have today and the built-ins in the bus itself, I dunno ....my kids weren’t bored either....or I’d threaten to leave them on the side of the road.
So you disagree. We’ll have to revisit that when she is elected. Based on the history of the Bush threads, I am not far off.
So what? Maybe the kids were tired of being cramped in a bus.

my compliments. a fair and reasonable speculation.
( and fwiw, i read some of your older posts, after someone made an accusation about you. and i was proud to learn, that you are a true conservative, that i respect. )
...with enough people like you, Obama hasn’t got a chance in 2012!
Right, and Ronald Reagan was a dummy for not declaring until Labor Day.
BUT, Mom and Pop will lend a hand to help, since, after all, they ARE about taking care of FAMILY! Even with a place in AZ, I'd bet they will spend some time in Alaska in June, 2013! The Secret Service guys will have a ball!

I wasn’t lucky enough to have all the modern tech toys.
I keep hearing “are we there yet huh, are we there yet? How much longer? I gotta pee...I’m hungry.
Nope. Plenty of time to get in, but I’ve seen a number of statements that a candidate could get into the race in 2012. (Not you, you know better). Saw your post and just piggy-backed on it.
Only the presstitute who probably inhaled to much of her busses fumes. The dope! She didn’t have a schedule, plus she knew more about Paul Rever’s ride than did the “author” of this hit piece.
She’s not running for President.
