Former half-term Gov. Sarah Palin has reportedly packed in her bus tour...halfway through.
Real Clear Politics is reporting that Palin and her family have returned to Alaska from their "One Nation" bus tour, despite tentatively scheduled stops in Iowa and South Carolina.
From Scott Conroy at RCP:
Though Palin and her staff never announced a timeline for the remaining legs of her trip, aides had drafted preliminary itineraries that would have taken her through the Midwest and Southeast at some point this month. But those travel blueprints are now in limbo, RCP has learned, as Palin and her family have reverted to the friendly confines of summertime Alaska, where the skies are currently alight for over 19 hours a day and the Bristol Bay salmon fishing season is nearing its peak.
Palin's intent to visit Iowa and South Carolina, as well as one stop in New Hampshire, caused some speculation that she was starting to get serious about a run for president in 2012.
The bus tour was launched over Memorial Day weekend, and was particularly scrutinized after one event in Boston where Palin badly flubbed the story behind Paul Revere's ride.
“Why, your concern implied in the above post.”
My concern at being attacked on this thread for asking the question of what was going on and expressing the opinion that I think it would be good for her to declare soon, like at the end of her bus tour or sometime during it?
You don't. But the media likes making her look like a quitter.
The anti-Palin crowd does seem to be drawing more attention from management.
I think it’s possible to be anti-zealotry but pro-Palin.
“Be still and learn. You will become wise. Perhaps not from me, but from those who have been here for much longer than me. And hold your ego in check. Im not sure if anyone told you but you need a Flamesuit here. You will need it less if you show a little respect to the long time FReepers and Im talking those before me.”
I think you’d benefit from taking your own advice. Someone once said something about motes and beams.
You said: “Palin makes you guys look pretty damned stupid. Now go light some candles and pray to your goddess.”
Let me ask you... should some decide to bash Cain, is it okay if we talk about him, and those that support him, in the same way you do Palin and her supporters?
“And what makes you think shes quitting her tour?”
If you re-read my posts here, you’ll see I asked a question, because I didn’t know. That was the very first thing I wrote on this thread. If you read the rest of my posts here, you’ll see that more than once I added ‘if true’ when talking about this.
Exactly 2 years after she resigned - so no risk anymore for stupid lawsuits. At least that’s what I keep on hearing - if true.
Also, my husband doesn't have fishing rights/obligations in Alaska. I have to say that I really don't understand the problem here.
Wasn't this a family vacation? Does Sarah have some kind of contract with America to complete all vacations? If that's true, Obama must have a lock on 2012. He and his wife have completed more vacations than anyone.
>>I think youd benefit from taking your own advice<<
Did you miss that I didn’t care what you thought? Again?
If?
What kind of post is that, and you keep quoting that writer as though you are quoting some important source, rather than just some guys own little article.
Brava!
“Did you miss that I didnt care what you thought? Again?”
You say that, but yet you keep writing to me, including the original contact.
No, but I must confess that I am losing interest in pursuing this.
a) She is a millionaire, so I tend to doubt that the cost of fuel was a determent.
b) The tour, or family excursion, was paid for from (donated) dollars from SarahPAC.
Thank you so much!
Someone wrote basically the same for me when I started. I wish I remember who did. That was a fine FReeper who helped me out more than I can say.
I figured it was a bunch of hooey. I was just waiting to find out.
