Former half-term Gov. Sarah Palin has reportedly packed in her bus tour...halfway through.
Real Clear Politics is reporting that Palin and her family have returned to Alaska from their "One Nation" bus tour, despite tentatively scheduled stops in Iowa and South Carolina.
From Scott Conroy at RCP:
Though Palin and her staff never announced a timeline for the remaining legs of her trip, aides had drafted preliminary itineraries that would have taken her through the Midwest and Southeast at some point this month. But those travel blueprints are now in limbo, RCP has learned, as Palin and her family have reverted to the friendly confines of summertime Alaska, where the skies are currently alight for over 19 hours a day and the Bristol Bay salmon fishing season is nearing its peak.
Palin's intent to visit Iowa and South Carolina, as well as one stop in New Hampshire, caused some speculation that she was starting to get serious about a run for president in 2012.
The bus tour was launched over Memorial Day weekend, and was particularly scrutinized after one event in Boston where Palin badly flubbed the story behind Paul Revere's ride.
Hmm... noobs learning to push the Palin and catastrophism buttons.....
Hmmmm.....
Is that all your employer charged you with?
Is Sarah making money or spending money on this tour?
Posters have been "trashing" Palin for the past 20 months. Some of them have turned out to be MB supporters. You don't see that?
Haven't you been criticizing Palin on Palin threads?
Why are you whining??
A historian that they chose themselves.
That's odd, I saw your post and understood that, now why didn't he? You think he didn't understand you were quoting a transcript, bd45 didn't understand what she was saying was actually true, or bd45 had an agenda?
I've noticed the
**crickets**
Though.
I don’t even know what you’re talking about or which one you’re leveling this at. Who’s pushing Palin-buttons? I’m responding to attacks when I didn’t even criticize her, and now I’m responding to you, an apparent newcomer to the thread when Palin herself has already refuted the article linked to I was asking the question about.
If they had bothered to watch her TV show, she explains the limits to fishermen on that series.link
B) No real-world resume-for-POTUS enhancing effort since she quit in Alaska.
C) Trademarking the Palin brand (indicative of a market-oriented focus) .
D) Alaska law 39.52.310 (H), which states that, contrary to popular opinion here, the statute of limitations for filing ethics violation complaints against her for her time as Governor does not kick in July 26th. It clearly states, for anyone who wants to read it, that the clock starts ticking at the time of the 'discovery' of an 'alleged violation' and runs for two years from that point. IOW...if there is anything in those 24,000 pages of e-mails that could be construed to indicate an 'alleged violation;, then anyone may file a claim against her at any point in the following two years.
Each accepted complaint must be answered officially within twenty days or an official application for an extension must be submitted.
If she were to win the GOP nod then there would very likely be a steady flow of complaints based on "alleged violations". Each complaint would be a headline. Each complaint would require time and effort on her part. each complaint would link in the media back to the original complaints...the ones that made her quit.
She will not run.
The truth will set you free....
I’ll just have to accept that you are trolling and that your “pro-Palin” nonsense, is just that, concern troll, and ‘I’m pro-Palin but can’t stand her supporters’ makeup.
You’ve put a lot of thought into this, I can see. Others on here pointed out that she has time still, and that Reagan, for instance, did not declare his candidacy until closer to the election, after the summer.
I don’t know what she’s going to do. I’m waiting to hear from her. I thought that she was probably running because of this bus trip, and that she would declare at the end of it. What turned out to be a false report had me asking what had happened, considering what I had thought she was doing. I think that, if this is just the scheduled break in her bus tour for the salmon season and other seasonal work back home, she probably is either running, or still considering running. I think she has enough support to get on the ballot quickly, and to create the organization she’d need to run, once it’s official.
I’ll ignore, when Sarah does....

*Sigh* Reports of Tour Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated http://fb.me/XblsnHSo

Imagine our surprise when reading media reports today that the One Nation Tour has been cancelled. Why didnt anyone tell me? Oh, wait, thats because it hasnt been cancelled. (Good ol’ media... you never cease to amaze!)
As I said myself at the end of the east coast leg of the tour, the summer is long, and Im looking forward to hitting the open road again. The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty) and I look forward to doing my part just like every other Alaskan.
I wouldnt think it to be such a slow news day that, what with numerous wars and serious economic woes concerning Americans, a bus is driving news stories today. The next leg of the tour continues when the time comes. In the meantime, no one should jump to conclusions certainly not the media with their long track record of getting things wrong or just making things up.

Thanks, LadyDoc.
Well, that pretty well settles it then. lol
I’m shadowing you...just found that one too! LOL
Do me feel me breathin’ down your neck? LOL
I think a bet that Palin will not win the IL or NY GOP Primary is as good a lock as you can get.
...Palinbadly flubbedgave a history lesson on the story behind Paul Revere's ride.
#297 was to you. Oops.
