Palin nailed the facts as documented in Revere's letter to Dr. Jeremy Belknap. Her delivery was clumsy and unpolished, but she knew more than almost anyone in the mainstream media, catching the essential points that the media never understood. The press, continuing their fact-free policy, has harped on that "error" long after they knew that she had it right and those who only knew Longfellow's poetry were wrong. In contrast, journalists still swoon over the Obama/TOTUS delivery, despite the regularity with which Obama and TOTUS deliver a hateful and error-filled speech, so long as the cadence is smooth.
The pastor at Old North Church came forward to say that he was the one who told Sarah about the Bell Ringing Guild, Revere started at the Old North Church and what he said to the British after his being captured. The Rev. went on to cite the errors in the Longfellow poem. He was attacked by Moonbats on the Herald web-site.
The problem is, the public will never know this. As it is, it becomes one more example of her supposed idiocy.
Did you get that from one of the media Palin haters?
Unpolished is one of the most positive attributes she has. The left has a lot of polish, much of it can be scratched and a putrid odor seeps out.
Given the circumstances and who Palin is and what she was doing, she wasn't clumsy one bit.
Gotta throw something negative in there though, after all she got it so right even some here were throwing invectives at her for what she did.
