The problem with this is human greed. Your illness is treatable but you are broke from medical bills and everyone around you is upset.

Along comes an attorney from the Biden estate. They will zero out your bills and throw in another ten thousand if you accept euthanasia and donate your good kidney to the VP’s relative. Tough decision and say no.

The attorney calmly says that it is amazing what one could do with a scalpel and some chloroform and suggests you might not want to fall asleep.

This is what will eventually happen. Maybe the trade is for food, gasoline, a job. Maybe it is coerced as the politically strong preys on the weak. Maybe the person will truly want to help another human being,

But by the direction this country is going in, this wouldn’t surprise me.

Similarly -

Yes, the elderly pensioner's illness is treatable, but the procedure is not approved by the Health Care panel (16 political appointees, according to the bill).

Waivers have been approved for the procedure, but it takes a congressthing's intervention to get the waiver (according to the bill).

Still, elderly pensioner writes to the congressthing for the waiver. The response? so sorry, but the congressthing just can't help -- try again later, and take an aspirin while you wait (according 0).

Meantime, the elderly pensioner dies -- and the organs go to the young, vital taxpayers. Oh, and to one other person who has also gotten the waiver, the procedure, and the organ in time to be trotted out to smile and wave as a success story at 0's third inaugural address (did I mention the emergency decree to overturn the 22nd amendment?)
