WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama on Wednesday dismissed the congressional criticism of his decision to wage war against Libya as political and argued that any sign of support from Washington for strongman Moammar Gadhafi makes no sense.
Pushing back against Republicans and Democrats, Obama defended his decision to order U.S. military action more than three months ago and insisted he had not violated the 1973 War Powers Resolution, which requires congressional authorization within 60 days of the first military strikes. The president claims Americans supporting the NATO-led operation are not engaged in full-blown hostilities, making congressional consent unnecessary.

Everything Ubama does is "about politics," but it is only "selfish" when other people engage in it.

Obama defended his decision to order U.S. military action more than three months ago and insisted he had not violated the 1973 War Powers Resolution, which requires congressional authorization within 60 days of the first military strikes. I hate to dispute the august 'journalists' at the AP, but have they actually READ the War Powers Act. Presidents are only allowed to commit armed forces without PRIOR congressional authorization if the US is under imminent threat or has been actually attacked as we were on 9/11 or at Pearl Harbor. If less than that, then Obama was compelled to go to Congress FIRST, as say GHW Bush did prior to Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
Typical half-truth in support of Obama's agenda to screw-up America on behalf of your friendly-neighborhood drive-by Media.

President The One was a tad edgy during his press conference. I wonder if (to borrow obama's phrase that he used on hillary during the primaries) he was "feeling blue" today . . . ?

Once again displaying a nine year olds comprehension of an important subject. At least he isn't babbling about "wanting alligators in a moat" this time. The man has the vocabulary of a goat and relates to the world as if it were a cartoon.

In Kansas, ‘fuss’ was what our Supreme Court Chief Justice called the uproar created when the public learned that he was in collusion with a party in a case before him.
So, I’m assuming that ‘fuss’ in this case means deadly serious mistake.

He mentioned that Vietnam costs 10s of thousands of lives and millions of dollars. He said Libya is not that big of a deal. The only thing he forgot is Vietnam didn't start out big, but it escalated and escalated. If the Kennedy administration was held accountable for sending advisers to Vietnam maybe the whole thing could have been avoided.

Now I understand why Obama said months ago that the US could absorb another 9/11 style attack.
Under the Obama doctrine, 9/11 wasn’t really a hostile act. The jihadis had no boots on the ground either. They limited casualties to only around 3K.
Got it /s

Obama does what he’s told to do. Just wish we could figure out who it is who communicates to him from his puppet masters. I think we’d crap our pants if we knew who the actual puppet masters are. And I’m convinced the GOP leadership knows who it is because the same strings are attached to them.
