I agree with this entirely.

I would add, however, that there are plenty here at FR who are going to have some explaining to do if she doesn’t.

One group is going to be very, very, very wrong. And the fascinating things is that both camps are completely 100% utterly convinced that they know the truth of the matter.

One of them will be wrong.

As for me...I tend to think as of today, that she won’t run. Last week, when it was reported that she was meeting with Iowa leaders while in the state for the premier, I thought for sure that she was. However, about Wednesday or Thursday she shot that down, and all those that she would have contacted said that they had not heard from her and didn’t know anyone who had heard from her. Then there was that weird story about that grassroots organizer who has been working for nine months in Iowa organizing for her, but as it turns out, he is completely independent of her and has never even met her. This is a very strange phenomenon and if she were to run, she will have a huge amount of grassroots intensity behind her, spontaneously.

But at some point, she also has to explicitly seek the office.

And...at this moment, I don’t see current evidence of that. Maybe this week will bring different news on that front. Personally, I hope so. She needs to run.

If she WAS running, July 4th would be a great day to announce. If I was her (I’m not of course) and I was running, today would have been the day.

But its not.

Folks, this is sounding a lot like a rerun of the Fred Thompson experience. He did run ... sort of. But it was not a full-on multi-year massive effort, it as too little too late. Maybe she doesnt have the hankering for that office that say, Mitt Romney, running since god knows when, has. I dont blame her, she been brutally roughed up by the media and more to come if she runs. If she doesnt want it, no explaining needed, but we dont want 4 more years of BHO and we need to know who the field is, so a decision soon either way is welcome.

Here is WHAT I think is SHEER idiocy.

I have NEVER seen so much “NO SHE WON’T RUN” sentiments expressed about any non-candidate in the history of this country (I’m a Political Science major) than has been expressed about this one person.

I will call out and say that ALL those expressing such sentiment are betraying their own bias! Period!

I say that because there MORE EVIDENCE that she WILL RUN than there is that SHE WON’T RUN!

The only ‘non-candidate’ that holds the record of keeping EVERYONE guessing for decades is non other than MARIO CUOMO!
AND... the prognostication for the entire duration was not ... “HE’S NOT RUNNING!” but rather “IS HE RUNNING?”.
