She got the tattoo after the daughter went missing. It reads “bella vita” in ungrammatical Italian - translated it means roughly “the good life” or “the beautiful life”.
“Bella Vita,” (Beautiful Life). My own take is the evil phone call played by the prosecutors yesterday is going to take her down. Casey called her parents from jail (jailed for child neglect) demanding her boyfriend’s phone number. All her parents wanted to talk about was the missing baby. The sweet Ms. Casey screamed: “you guys are a f***in’ WASTE!”
What was that tattoo Casey got and when did she get it?The tatoo was "Bela Vita" ("Beautiful life"). She got it during the month she was partying after Caylee was dead but before anyone else found out.
It is certainly damning. I think the real question was whether she killed Caylee on purpose or whether it was an accident. Even if it was an accident, if it was the result of her abusing Caylee (duct tape and/or chloroform) then as I understand it it could still be justification for the death penalty.
