I doubt there’s an HOA in that neighberhood. More like someone didn’t like what they saw, or just doesn’t like her, and called the city on her.

Gosh, they’d probably have her shot on sight if she hung her laundry outside to dry.

Blueberries are in already? We don’t get them until August!

I’m picking wild Black Cap Raspberries this week. Picked 5 cups today - loose-pack frozen and will be juiced for jelly in the near future. More ready by morning and this will go on for another week as they ripen in stages.

Red Lake Currant are ready to rock; picking them in the morning, too.

Life. Is. Good. :)

“Plant a few flowers and call it a botanical garden.”

Or do as we do in Wisconsin: Plant your cash crops in the middle of your land and surround it with 1,000 acres of Sweet Corn. *SMIRK*

“I picked 21 pounds of blueberries today.
I have them in 4 pound freezer bags, enough for muffins, pancakes, blueberry dumplings and a few deep dish pies come winter.

I’ll pick another crate of berries tomorrow. That should hold me over until spring of next year.”

It’s bad enough that you’re an unrepentant criminal, but do you have to brag about it on the internet?

I’m calling Nancy Grace

I’m impressed. He was paying attention. Nothing wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with that.

Nobody said there was. Matter of fact, I did the same up-thread.

I live in Southern NJ, our blueberry season begins around June 10 till mid to late Aug.

Huckleberries are starting to come into season now. They take a lonnnnnng time to pick but every season I try to pick enough for one deep dish pie.

Hummm black caps, they come into season during the late spring here. Wild blackberries are really abundent this year. I am a little leary about picking them, because a few years back I got tangled up in a patch that had poison ivy very close to it.

I ingested enough blackberries that must have had some ivy on it.

I woke up in the middle of the night with a rash running up my legs and arms that looked like a boiled lobster.

A 3 AM trip to the ER and a couple shots and I-V with some sort of medicine cleared it up by 6.

Yep. Sounds like you need to stay out of the briar patch! I got stuck in there by the hair for a little while yesterday, LOL! Ouch! :)

Or with it being Michigan, she could get a “caregiver” card, and grow some “medicinal” plants in her planters. Wonder if the neighbors would complain about the razor wire fence she would have to put up to prevent theft.

Looks like Hooterville

No, it doesn't look like Hooterville. It's quite neat and tidy and an excellent, efficient use of limited space.

If it is a code violation, rip it out. Cities regulate fence height, grass height, parking on front lawns, etc..

We're not debating what "is", we're discussing an "ought". As in someone as hostile to private property rights as yourself probably "ought" not post those views on a conservative website. But you "is" anyway.

OK, How about Hicksville?

I took a look at the story a bit further and the code is rather ambiguous, so I would say the garden stays. Fools like that home owner are the reason there are HOA's, etc. Could you imagine trying to sell your house in this climate and you have some yahoo across the street or next to you plant a vegetable garden in the front yard?

Too much government, too many officials looking to throw their weight around.

My wife and a lot of neighbors have gardens in our front yards these days, and we're in the middle of a city. There are even people who have chickens on the block. Of course, we live in Texas.
