McCotter: Romney and Obama "Less Rivals Than They Are Running Mates"
Ace of Spades ^ | July 10th | rdbrewer

Representative Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI) formally announced his White House bid last week. Yesterday, in an interview with John Roberts on Fox News, he took aim at Romney, slamming the "Obama-Romney economy."

"Unemployment rising, people struggling in the Obama-Romney economy," McCotter tweeted Friday.

The congressman expanded on that critique during a Saturday interview with Fox News. "We have Obama as the champion of big government, we see Romney as champion of bail out banks in Wall Street bailout. They are less rivals than they are running mates," he said.

Representative McCotter defended his support of auto bailouts, "saying he's [in] favor of keeping Americans working instead of losing those jobs to overseas manufacturers," according to FoxNews.com.

The only substantial difference is that Romney spends more on hair spray.

Disappointed that McCotter supported big government auto bail-outs with taxpayer money.

Just another RINO...and definitely NOT a conservative.

McCotter is from Livonia Michigan, a west of Detroit suburb. His district has auto plants and many companies supporting the auto industry.

If he'd argued for going through the normal legal process of bankruptcy, then he has an out for supporting the bailout, once the normal process was taken off the table.

Nobody's perfect, McCotter is a terrific communicator and very solid in other areas.

They need to make a wax model with a PA system in it’s belly, think of the money they’d save.

By: Hiram Reisner

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich on Sunday labeled the dismal economic situation in the United States as the “Obama depression,” just days after a grim jobs report and amid continued signs that negotiations on a comprehensive federal debt deal are faltering.
