Libs Outraged Over Paul Ryan’s $350 Bottle of Wine, Silent When Nancy Pelosi Drowned $101,000

Cheers.

For some reason the libs weren’t so outraged when Obaama served $399 bottles of wine at his taxpayer-funded state dinner …

… but Libs today were “stunned” and “outraged” that popular conservative Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) ordered a $350 bottle of wine for dinner in New York.

TPM reported, via Ann Althouse:

When [Professor Feinberg] saw the label on the bottle of Jayer-Gilles 2004 Echezeaux Grand Cru Ryan’s table had ordered, she quickly looked it up on the wine list and saw that it sold for an eye-popping $350, the most expensive wine in the house along with one other with the same pricetag.

Feinberg, an economist by training, was even more appalled when the table ordered a second bottle….

“We were just stunned,” said Feinberg…

She was outraged …. [my emphasis]

Hmmm...I notice that they don’t state that Mr. Ryan paid the bill himself. Unlike Obummer and Pelousy, who sent the bill to the taxpayers.

If he bought it with his own money, nothing further to say.

Actually, you know what’s outrageous? A restaurant that charges $350 for a $200 bottle of wine.

Why would they care what someone pay themselves for moderate priced wines? Obiviousl none of them are educated or cultured enough to know that $399 is not an expensive bottle more a moderate priced because it can be much more expensive than that one is!

THere are no sources, or references, that back up the truth of this story. This does not sound like Paul. Was he alone? Dining with friends? Who picked up the tab?

They were outraged because Ryan was spending his own money on the wine instead of using an apparatus of the state to seize the money from a taxpayer under force of law and use it to buy wine.

They went after Cheneys money but never disclosed that
Cheney gave Six Million to charity in one year alone.

This class envy is a broken tool but I'm sure some people still love to hate.

If he bought that wine with his own money, we’re paying our so-called public servants too damn well.

I am outraged about what it costs to fly Michelle Obama’s fat ass around on her vacations.

Ryan should give that money to FR!

He should do whatever he damned well pleases with his money.

If he bought it with his own money, nothing further to say.

Exactly, and if you read the whole account, you see Ryan paid for the meal himself.

You also see that this Professor Feinberg was probably drunk--she admits to drinking at least half a bottle of wine before going over to Ryan's table to demand to know how much the wine cost.

The bottom line is that this is just some nosy Lib yenta who made a spectacle of herself when she was half in the bag. No surprises there--something I've seen a million times before in NYC restaurants.

oh my...stunned, outraged, my oh my oh my. At least it was paid for by him out of his personal funds and not a fund raiser. Hope you enjoyed your wine Paul...good for you. In their face as they have done to us. Now the worm has turned.

Meh. Maybe he had money before he was elected to Congress. I could spend $350 on a bottle of wine, and still pay the mortgage and the utility bills. At least I’d get some enjoyment out of it, unlike the electronics my husband blows much more than that on.

I don’t think I’ve ever been in a restaurant with wine costing that much, but you can get some at “Total Wine.”

I don’t get wine when eating out because I know what it costs for the same bottle at the grocery store or wine retailer, but if Rep. Ryan wants to, fine with me.

I’m outraged Professor Feinberg can afford to dine at restaurants that sever expensive wines. I haven’t been to a restaurant in about 3 years.

Absolutely. Someone saying what someone else SHOULD do with their money is dangerous. It’s Paul Ryan’s money and he can toss it in the trash if he so chose. The point being it is HIS money and therefore not for anyone else to suggest what he do with it.
