I'd heard some things about mini-UAV surveillance vehicles, but as far as this goes -- I'd be more receptive if it wasn't all animated.
Next, the USAF design folks will show video of their 'light saber' experiments.
And just think of the fun (implications) when they are ‘tested’ in your/our neighborhood as part of the new ‘public safety anti-terror’ program.

I think that people who can devise detectors and/or countermeasures to these robot insects will be very popular. And very rich.
Doesn't mean it actually exists.

I saw E.D. Hill on CNN last night. She didn’t look at all like she did when she was on Fox. The one on CNN just might be one of these contraptions, only ground-dwelling and blonde.

The responses to stories like this shouldn’t suprise me but they always do. Doctors have video cameras you swallow. NASA rovers can anylize soil samples on Mars and send back the results. My cell phone can tell me where I am, recommend the best Chinese restaurant in the area and show me directions and the phone was under $100.
Nothing in that animated video will require new technology to create, and I have no doubt the will to use it is out there as well.
