You did a "speedy read" of the column? Yes, Camping is a lost man, but how do you not see the connection as reported by Prasch?

After listening to a translation of Camping's prediction 7,000 of these people (known in the West as Montagnards) gathered on a mountain praising God their suffering at the hands of the communist regime was about to end because Jesus was returning that day in May to establish a new kingdom.

The police and military police slaughtered many of them at gunpoint – beheading two pastors. Others were arrested. I am told by Hmong pastors that so many were shot dead that they were buried in mass graves bulldozed over in an episode that I read about in Britain but did not understand the magnitude of until I got here.

I guess you can equivocate in any number of ways. The fact remains that Americans are "blissfully" unaware of how bad Christians around the world are abused at the hands of hellish regimes.

James Jacob Prasch, a key leader of Moriel Ministries

Go the Moriel Ministries website. Website states that James Prasch has health problems and will not be doing any traveling in 2011.
There is no mention of the Hmong massacre on their Latest News, Articles, and Information page.

No, we are not blissfully unaware that there is more Christian persecution going on in the world than in any time in history.
The story sounds like something that took place during the Viet Nam war. The red flags went up.
